Climate
Whilst the earths polar regions are similar in many ways, they also have many differences in environment, climate, flora and fauna.
There are two main seasons, a long freezing winter with darkness that lasts for many weeks or months and very cold summer that get 24 hours of sunlight. There is usually a Katabatic winds blowing, with little or no precipitation as there is virtually no vapor.
The Arctic has a number of different climates, depending on latitude and altitude. It can vary up to 20 degrees Celsius. The Antarctic is a very dry continent with very little precipitation a year. The continents average temperature is minus 25 degrees Celsius.
